SONGS OF THE DAY: My Surprise!

Okay, it’s not really that big of a surprise, and it wasn’t hyped up a lot. But, in the next few minutes, I will be releasing the songs from Yours, the debut album I released back in July, on the website. You won’t be able to download the songs for free, as the CD is still for sale, but you will be able to listen to them, as well as read the lyrics. I hope you enjoy them (again)!

I will admit right now that this song is somewhat incomplete. Although it might be able to stand on its own, either just musically, or in a way that enables you to think of your own words to put to it, I do have my own verses which will be recorded to the song at a later (but soon) date. Until then, enjoy the music, and the surprise that will be coming shortly (which is a big part of why my version of the song isn’t completed right now).

Please Support Me in My Ministry

When I first envisioned the current project that is Matthew Greyling Music, I never intended for it to be focused completely on the Matthew Greyling part as if I was in this alone.  I will always need help from others if this ministry is to succeed, and I am so grateful for the support already given to me and the Music by many, already.  But now, I need support from you.

You should be aware, though, that my request for support does not equal a request for money.  In fact, if you continue reading and see the list of ways you can support me, you will find that money isn’t mentioned first (and yes, they are ordered based on need).  It is mentioned, however, because I’m not going to lie and hide the needs of this project.

So, here are ways you can help:

1. Pray. I need it.  We all need it.  And lots of it.  God is at the Head of everything behind the Music and this mission, and I am never going to pretend otherwise by not realizing my need for prayer.
2. Donate. It’s not number one.  Down the road, I hope it doesn’t even claim the number 2 spot.  But right now, I do need money to live and continue this ministry.
3. Share. While I would never say that this music would be useless if I didn’t share it with anyone (in fact, many songs I write are just between me and God).  Because of the model of the Music, though, it is meant to be shared and used by others.
4. Help. It comes in many forms.  Some examples, though, might include:
   • providing a space or equipment to record in
   • being involved in the music creation (I love collaborating with other artists and musicians!)
   • telling your church or summer camp about the ministry (I also love to do concerts and events)
   • or, helping in other ways.  If you want to help but might not know how you can, just ask!
5. Critique. I will admit, I’m not perfect.  Although we may have differing opinions of how music should sound, I am always interested in your opinions.  However, if you read or listen to any of the lyrics and they are not supported Biblically, I urge you to tell me (note: “supported Biblically” does not mean “straight out of the Bible”, but refers to the ideas behind the lyrics and the songs, to be taken contextually, of course).

Again, I can’t do this on my own.  Yes, God is on my side, which means the entire body of Christ [should be] on my side, and I on theirs, together furthering the Kingdom.  So, if there are ways I can support you in return, please let me know!  (The support can also be extended to you if you are not a Christian, should that be the case)
